Entering the Real World

I've never really done a post talking about what I do at university. My course essentially is what the name says, I make costumes. And I cannot tell you how much I love it. So with the end of my university experience looming I'm trying to cram everything in and getting stuff done. This includes professional prep, so in other words create a website, update my CV and do business cards for my graduate exhibition. It's starting to hit me that soon I will literally be by myself. My parents can't hold my hand anymore and I can't just go to class and have to do my homework for a certain date. I've been in some form of education since I was what 5/6 years old so to think about life where I'm not being taught something is strange. It's no secret I'm not the best at 'selling myself' I just don't want to come across as having an ego (people with big ego's really grinds my gears).
I know it's okay to be scared,  entering new territory is bloody nerve racking. If you want to build a decent life then you have to work hard for it, something I've never been afraid to do.
I'm going to try and enjoy every last moment I have left at university, cause although I am starting to feel like I'm ready to leave I sure will miss this place.
I have had one of the best weeks I've had in a very long time. It's just like everything has fallen into place and gone right for me for once in my life.  I found out I got a 2.1 for my dissertation and I am over the moon!! :) think I deserve to have a little drink to celebrate that right?? It's a nice feeling to know that hard work does pay off!!

  1. Sounds like you have a great course and congratulations on your 2.1! I am sure you will figure everything out soon, but it is fine to be nervous! x
