I don't think you can beat a day out with the girls. Yesterday I got to meet up with some of my best girl friends from home as I am one of the last to finish university and it was honestly one of the best days I've had in a while. As far as I know it's the first time all six of us have met up in nearly a year and got to actually go on a day out together. It's my lovely friend Ania's 21st (happy birthday if you read this!). We went to the Sky Garden in the heart of London and it's beautiful. You essentially go up to the top of a building and get to see this impressive view of London. There's something I find so soothing about seeing a city from up above. You just get away from the stress and take the time to appreciate where you are and what a city London is. It's essentially like the Empire State Building in New York, although I'd pick the view of New York any day (sorry London).
The garden itself is beautiful inside and we kept calling it the Rainforest. Although they need to turn the air conditioning down a tad, my poor legs were freezing! The bar itself was of course immaculate and there were so many amazing sounding drinks to choose from. Unfortunately as I am now coming up to being unemployed I had no money so had to go for the cheapest glass of wine available. A couple of my friends bought two amazing looking cocktails, one came with candy floss I mean... Just six girls having classy drinks together having a good old gossip about how we're getting old.
We then ended up going to Covent Garden and heading to a bar called Belushi's. Unfortunately I didn't get any photo's of the bar as I was too busy catching up. But seriously this place was amazing, a rock bar with cheap cocktails and the décor I loved. Music posters everywhere, plus they played Enter Shikari on the TV nailed it. Then we just headed for some food and for a little wonder round.
I also stressed majorly about what to wear as I didn't know how smart we all had to be, so I made the bold decision to get my legs out. I really love this striped skater dress I got from New look. I feel like its quite flattering on my shape. I went for a denim jacket to make it bit more casual and my peach flats from Primark which are a dream.
The perfect day of seeing London, catching up with my best mates, eating Italian food and consuming quite a lot to drink. So all of my favourite things really :) Can't quite believe we've all hit the ripe age of 21 now, check us out being adults and all that. Oh and I have to credit Charlotte for some of these photo's, her iPhone 6 has a bloody good camera :)
Seems like a really fun day! You girls look fabulous!
