Asos Bright Stripe Jumper - £22.00

A fashion themed post, I know what is happening. It's been a long time since I've posted any outfit posts as well let's face it the self confidence has been real low lately. But I just had to share this jumper I bought a little while a go as I'm a little bit obsessed.

Rainbow seems to be a real trend at the moment and I love it. I've been really inspired by bloggers lately and seen so many bright coloured pieces. I usually hide behind black and white outfits, but I think it's time to have a little more fun. My style has become quite boring lately so I'm trying to bring back the buzz I used to have when creating outfits. I hope soon I will be able to outfit posts outside... maybe...one day.

Originally I wanted to buy a glittery striped jumper from Warehouse, but like everything I have my eye on it sold out so quickly! But i found this little bright number from Asos. I pair this jumper usually with black jeans so the focus is entirely on this piece, but I think it would look great with a blue denim skirt as well. It's a great jumper to wear when you're having a bad day as it just instantly boosts your mood, and i need that as I'm always feeling the blues at the start of the year!

An Outfit from Day to Night featuring Aurate Jewellery

Monday, 24 April 2017

There are some situations that stress me out and one that always stresses me out is when I have to go out straight after work. It's not like you ever have a large amount of time to get ready so somehow you've got to create a new look in a limited time. Now I work in a job where I can dress pretty casual, but I wanted to get in the mind set of if I worked in an environment where you have to look professional (you know the jobs where jeans aren't an option).

For me it's all about changing up your accessories, keep the base of your outfit simple but switch up a few things and you are sure to find a winning outfit. So change your shoes, bag and of course jewellery. I have featured three stunning jewellery pieces from AUrate which are perfect for transitioning your outfit from day to night and make you feel special. I mean a bit of sparkle and immediately you feel a lot better baout any situation.

Day Time

Mint and Metallic

Saturday, 25 March 2017

I may have slightly lost the plot and I know my boyfriend will absolutely hate these but I haven't been this excited about buying a pair of shoes (I know how pathetic I sound) in a very long time. Lately I've been pretty boring with my whole 'style' as I'm not happy with my body. Everyone says fashion is about what you want to wear which I completely agree with. However at the end of the day I don't want to draw attention to myself if I hate the way I look. So I've been living in a baggy top and leggings nightmare and I really want to discover my old self again, which means starting to love putting outfits together.

Now I am a shoe girl at heart, I just love them. So I thought I would have a little look on the River Island website randomly and came across these gorgeous metallic mint green loafers and I just couldn't resist. My theory was simple - if I'm wearing dull outfits that I feel rubbish in then I need a jazzy pair of shoes to cheer me up. See a completely justified purchase...
Metallic shoes seem to be everywhere at the moment so I thought I would try a fun way to include the trend into my wardrobe. And with spring on the way I just want to wear some more colour. I've also seen a pair of metallic purple shoes from Primark which I would love to get my hands on.

I'm having a really productive Saturday morning and I'm just so grateful to have weekends off again like normal people. What do you guys think I should pair these shoes with??

The Infinity Suit by T.M. Lewin

Wednesday, 24 August 2016

It always exciting when a company launch a new product. Last Friday T.M. Lewin launched their new infinity suit which looks and sounds incredible. This new suit is specifically designed to look sharp throughout the day whether you're having a busy day at work and running errands. With its new crease resistant technology this suit leaves you looking good all day long. The suit also contains an open weave allowing water to be absorbed easily. This means you feel comfortable and cool whilst looking well put together.
The model Chase Armitage is a free runner and has directed multiple productions. As you can see from the photos the tricks he performs are high risk and very physical. Its the perfect way to showcase that the infinity suit can withstand anything. So walking around the office or catching the train is nothing.

If you know anyone on the hunt for a new suit then the Infinity suit seems like the perfect option for a man's wardrobe.

From the Office to Happy Hour with T.M. Lewin

Friday, 25 March 2016

So you have a full day ahead at the office but have that Friday feeling as you're having drinks after work. Question is what the hell do you wear?? Now I have to admit I have never worked in an office type of environment but I have a pretty solid idea of what most people wear through getting the train with commuters during early morning rush hour many times.. If I worked in an office I'd want to portray professionalism, elegance but with a hint of fun. However if you're heading out after work to unwind chances are you want to be comfortable too.
T.M. Lewin have a great selection of pieces for finding a great fit but also for any occasion. So you can look ready for the office but also know when it's time to kick back relax and get ready for the weekend. They have many selection of menswear which you can check out here so guys can look sharp for those hectic work days. Seriously the quality and variety of the suits look incredible. They also have a great selection of womenswear too which you can see here.

I wanted to base my outfit selection on what I would want to wear so I picked pieces from the women's range. I wanted to choose a top that wasn't too formal. At first I thought about how I could incorporate a white shirt as you can style them both in a relaxed and formal way. Shirts are great pieces to smarten up any look. But then I saw this amazing pink blush shell top and thought it was the perfect start. The colour is slightly playful and spring like and is a bit more fun then just going for monochrome colours. Plus pink seems to be the in colour right now. Its still has that sleek professional look with the high neckline but allows a bit more freedom being sleeveless and slightly loose fitting.
I chose the crop black trousers as I think the cropped lengths gives them a bit of a more relaxed vibe. They're still tailored so have the smart professional vibe perfect for the office but seem like they'd be comfortable enough to enjoy a few drinks with too. To go with the trousers I picked a black blazer so it gives the appearance of a suit. However it can easily be taken off after a long day of work for drinks.
A statement necklace can be added to the top after work to make the look a little bit more jazzy, I found this white embellished one from New Look. A small bag that has structure is the perfect accessory for an office to drinks look. The structured look of the bag fits with the tailored vibes and the small size makes it perfect to take out those essentials for a night out.

So if you're looking for some office to happy hour outfit inspiration then look no further then T.M. Lewin
After all, its always about getting that balance between working hard and having fun. Cocktails after work anyone??

Boohoo Wishlist

Tuesday, 9 February 2016

Shocker I've found myself looking online at clothes again... Boohoo is a brand I used to have my hesitations about but lately after exploring their site I've found some really nice pieces. It's so eclectic and feel like it's different to other brands I look at regularly.
The striped shirt has an amazing colour scheme and I thought it was really different.
The shift dress I absolutely adore and will definitely be purchasing at some point. I feel like it's going to be the perfect dress for spring/summer as the floral pattern gives it the girly vibe I want but the lace and dark colours adds that bit of grunge.
I am in desperate need of some new sunglasses and I really like the look of those wayfarer ones.
Red is my current favourite colour to wear, mixed with brown hair I think it looks so stunning and classic. This off the shoulder lace dress looks so elegant and beautiful. Perfect if you want to feel like a lady for a special occasion. I just need an event to wear it for.
And yes I've picked a bit of nightwear. The teddy I've picked is probably a little bit on the sexy side to wear just casually at home with my parents around. However I really like the look of it and it would make a change to the mix and match pyjama's that I practically live in.

I have no doubt a cheeky Boohoo order will be made soon, question is which of these items will I purchase

Things I loved In January

Saturday, 6 February 2016

In all seriousness we've already finished a month of 2016!?! Time seems to be going faster and faster as I get older! I thought I would do a favourites post as I've rediscovered some new and old items that I've been loving over January (A month in which again I've been terrible  at posting yet again).

Netflix I have rediscovered, I now use it daily. I probably am one of the worst people when it comes to seeing the latest films or TV series, there's always so many things I want to watch but I just never get round to it. Pretty Little Liars was a series I started watching back in the summer of last year but I got a bit lost. I think it's cause there are so so many episodes in one series that it got a bit like okay am I ever going to make it to season 3. But I cannot recommend enough after starting to rewatch it. The girls are gorgeous, the guys are gorgeous, there's so many twists and now its getting more gritty. Lucy Hale is officially my new girl crush.

I've been really into trying to perfect a skincare routine this month and bought a product everyone has been raving about and for good reason. I never really used a toner but now the Pixi Glow Tonic is part of my daily routine both in the morning and evening. It just seems to make my skin appear brighter and it feels tingly on my face but not in a worrying way. I just feel like its working wonders on my dull dry skin face I'm experiencing lately. But trust me I have  a lot to learn abut skincare and I should have started this much sooner. Teaming it with the Vitamin E sink in moisture mask from the Body Shop its been working wonders.

If I could marry a pair of shoes then my Navy suede boots would be in the running. These beauties I got for Christmas from New Look I immediately fell in love with and I adore. It's got to the point where I get a mark on them I panic and start frantically wiping them. And when you're walking through the streets of London there bound to get a bit of dirt on them. The rich navy teamed with the suede is just a match made in heaven.

I went a little crazy with make up purchases last month, guess I was making up for slacking over the last couple of months. The best item I picked up was the False Lash Sculpt mascara from L'Oreal. I only picked this up because it was on a special offer as it was a new product and honestly its amazing. It doesn't make my lashes look clumpy and gives them so much length. I love wearing it as an everyday mascara as it's not too dramatic but still shows a difference in my lashes.

For Christmas I got a couple of DVD's and the one I have been loving is The Duff. In a way its a bit of stupid teenage school usual rom com but I do love those types of films. It's silly but I love it for that reason, so unbelievable that it's brilliant. And in a way I relate to the main character, always feeling a bit like the ugly duckling in your friendship group. I saw it at the cinema and it made me laugh so much. This may be the perfect film for fellow single ladies to watch on Valentines day tucked up in bed with a shit load of chocolate (definitely my plan once I finish work).

And finally I couldn't leave out some music. I was so late to the party getting Automatic by Don Broco but I literally haven't stopped playing it since I got it for Christmas. So much funk but then heavy riffs I mean it's impossible not to enjoy. I'm always amazed how the drummer can sing so high, but I honestly love it. It's an album that definitely puts a smile on my face if I've had a terrible day. I think my favourite songs from the album are Nerve and Money Power Fame which I've loved since it was released as a single. Check out Don Broco if you haven't before, their music is always featured on Made In Chelsea.

My Current Favourite Dress

Tuesday, 24 November 2015

Dress- New Look
Jacket- George at Asda
Shoes- Topshop
Fedora- Asos
Rings- Empty Casket and random market stall
Bag- New Look

Hoorah an outfit post, it's been way too long. I'm trying to incorporate more dresses into my life again as I'm living in jeans as always. Now everyone knows I am a tartan and shirt lover so when I saw this dress I fell in love. It's loose and a decent length, I just hate a dress that just rides up. Plus its made up of a lovely dark shades of blues and reds. I feel really fashionable when wearing it and it's so easy to just put on add a leather jacket and you're ready to go.
My newest purchase is my navy blue fedora, the hats I'm loving are getting bigger and bigger. At first I was a bit scared to wear just caused its really wide brimmed, but I absolutely love it. Plus navy is a classic. The witch ring is an absolute gem, from my favourites at Empty Casket it just adds a hint of my personality without being over the top.

And my shoes, showing my love for burgundy, seriously I am obsessed at the moment. They fit in perfectly with the reds on the dress. I bought these thick soled brogues from Topshop as they reminded me of the Dr Marten brogues that I would love to get my hands on but a fraction of the price. Plus it makes a nice change from the mountain of black shoes I own. They are really well made, not the comfiest but I need to break them in a bit more. My small bag is something I always reach for. I call it my gig bag as its perfect for taking in London, its has a zip and folds over so there is no way my belongings are going anywhere out of my site.

I really like this outfit and think its perfect for the Autumn/Winter weather we're experiencing. It makes me feel girly, stylish and a bit grungy, so everything I like then.
Apologies about the bin in the background, not the best thing to look at. Honestly annoyed me so much when editing these. Well I'm off to work for the afternoon, the retail world is getting so busy in the weeks leading up to Christmas, help me!!

Its Been A While...

Sunday, 25 October 2015

I'm the girl who absolutely loves Halloween yet of course has not done one single Halloween related post or post in October for that matter. Things have been dare I say a bit wild over the last few weeks. I've started volunteering with a costume company in London, so I've been balancing that along with work and taking on freelance costume work, argh!
This October has really not been eventful in terms of fun things to do to get me in the spirit for Halloween. I can't quite believe my favourite day is less than a week away. Am I doing anything for it?? Currently sod all :(

The other day I decided to go for a walk with my dad as I said I wanted to take some photo's for my blog as I miss posting! What better way to experience Autumn with a bit of the outdoors. Plus I really don't go outside enough, I've decided I need to start taking up walking its just so good to escape home sometimes.

Playsuit- Asos
Cardigan- New Look
Boots- Primark

I wore my new playsuit from Asos as the colours are perfect for Autumn. I only wish I got some more shots of my outfit but trying to explain what I want in the photo's my dad takes is hard. He really doesn't understand the concept of outfit posts, but I'm so grateful that he at least took these photos. I'm trying to branch out of wearing just jeans and band t-shirts all of the time. This is quite smart for a piece I can wear every day. And it's a kimono style so is perfect for covering the tops of my arms, result! My favourite Primark boots= bad idea to walk through the mud in. Seriously what was I actually thinking.

Finally a post that has got a little bit of an Autumnal feeling. Needed to showcase my love for my favourite season somehow.
And yeah there's not really a reason why I haven't posted except I haven't had a lot of time lately. So yeah work work work woop. Oh and well I guess I could quickly mention what I've somehow ended up in a relationship, I know me. I guess miracles can happen sometime eh :)

Autumn Wishlist- New Look

Tuesday, 15 September 2015

I think I have a problem as I am seriously addicted to New Look currently. I've found a few pieces on there lately that I really want to get my hands on. So I thought I would share them with you lovely lot. Oh and I have a feeling there may be quite a few wish list posts as Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of the year.
The shoes are everything I love... black, chunky, lace up like a dream. Also being pointy I really feel they give off witchy vibes which you know I am obsessed with. They're currently on sale so I think it's inevitable that they'll be purchased soon. The suede duffle bag I am in love with. Purple is my favourite colour and this is very different to any bag I've bought in the past. A tartan scarf because it's essential to buy at least one every year :/. The purple blanket wrap I think is perfect for Autumn its not too thick but it'll be nice to throw on with any outfit. On the website there is a grunge style section which I was immediately drawn too. And from that range I loved the black long sleeved dress. It'd be easy to wear and I love the placket detailing on the front. I don't own enough skirts so I feel the black corduroy one would be a perfect addition adding a  bit of texture.

I can see the outfits emerging!

My First Pay Day Treats

Friday, 4 September 2015

So I experienced my first payday a couple of weeks ago and it was a glorious feeling. I feel like I should really be saving at the moment but I just felt like I wanted to experience treating myself with money I'd earned.
I can finally start celebrating the fact Autumn is well on it's way which means one thing, my favourite time of the year is fast approaching (Halloween, Bonfire Night and then Christmas). And of course its going to be coat weather soon, hell to the yeah. New Look are always on point lets be honest but I've found some real gems lately. So I just had to share two items I've got recently.
A camel trench coat is something I have wanted for months. I was randomly people watching whilst waiting for a train c'mon we all do it. Going off topic I saw a girl walk past wearing a trench coat and I just instantly wanted one. Camel isn't a colour I wear a lot but it's something I want to embrace more. I feel like it's a classic piece that will make me look like I've put more effort into throwing together my usual attire of a t-shirt and jeans. I will have to do an outfit post with this soon.
Black shoes, like I don't have enough in my wardrobe. I don't buy heels too often as quite frankly I don't go out anywhere... the most boring 21 year old right. But I saw these shoes on the website with vampy in the title. Now if I could pick any word to describe myself in a perfect world vampy would be it even thought that's not true. But just look how pretty they are man! Peep toe, leather look, chunky heel everything I want. I cannot wait to wear these to my graduation!

September is here, the leaves will start falling. Whilst everyone has the summer blues I'm hopefully going to start to get a little happier.

Take Me to the Weekend Festival

Thursday, 18 June 2015

Dungaree's*- Fat Face
Guns N Roses t-shirt- H&M
Kimono- George at Asda
Yellow Rain coat*- Fat Face
Shoes- Converse
Sunglasses- Asos

Now we're entering the summer, weekends can be filled with more outdoor activities. Being the music lover that I am my perfect plan for a summer weekend is going to a festival. It shouldn't be that much of a surprise to you.

Fat Face have launched a new range Take Me to the Weekend that feature clothing that make every weekend an adventure whatever your plans are. And life should be full of adventures right?? I was asked to come up with an outfit/outfits that I would wear to a festival. I am going to Reading festival for the third time thankfully, last year I didn't go and I was so upset. I should probably venture to a different festival at some point in my life.

My plans for Reading are pretty simple:
Set up camp with my mates, have a few ciders, go to the main arena as soon as each day, watch a variety of bands and appreciate the diverse range of music on offer. Oh and look round the stalls there cause the shopper in me needs to have a bit of time to shine. But mainly make some new memories.

When I'm at a festival I get fully involved with the music I'm seeing so I tend to dance quite a bit, put my hands in the air you know the usual thing... So I'm all about comfort. In my head I have these amazing elaborate outfits planned, but in reality I keep it simple. I love denim so when I saw these dungaree's I knew I wanted to give them a try. Maybe they aren't the most practical thing to wear to a festival but I think they are too cute to leave behind. I paired them with a Guns N Roses t-shirt as it's me so a band tee would be involved in some way. Converse are the ultimate comfort shoe, I would probably wear some wellies as well but currently don't own any. The kimono I thought added a laid back vibe along with sunglasses. These are my favourite pair of sunnies I own, I live in them. A festival in England means that rain is inevitable at some point, the weather is just too unpredictable. That's where my main love of this outfit comes into play. I am obsessed with this yellow rain coat from Fat Face. Yellow is a colour I don't wear too often but I just love it, lightweight, waterproof, fun it just ticks all of the boxes.

Festival fashion is by far my favourite and I feel like Fat Face have come up with some great essential pieces. Check out the Take Me to the Weekend range here.
Or of course you can check all of their women's wear here.
