Step On My Blue Suede Shoes

Monday, 14 March 2016

Well Boots but the title had to be used. This is a shoe appreciation post. I am without a doubt addicted to buying shoes. They just finish off an outfit in my opinion and I just have fallen in love with this particular pair which I hope to feature in an outfit post soon!
For Christmas just gone I really couldn't decide on anything I wanted, I've reached that annoying age. So whilst browsing New Look's website as I do most days I stumbled across this pair of navy suede pointed boots and said to my mum I need them in my love.
One I'm obsessed with navy blue now thanks to my mother who has had a love for it since I can remember. Seriously if it comes in navy she'll want it. And two I am a sucker for suede at the moment. All these suede biker jackets around lately are so so pretty.

Now these are without a doubt the loudest shoes I've ever owned. People honestly must think I'm wearing massive heels but I think that's the attitude of these. They just look fierce with the pointed toe and like they want to make a statement. I love wearing these with jeans and a t-shirt as it creates more of a I made an effort today look when lets be honest I probably got dressed while I was still half asleep. Its got to the point where if I'm walking through London and they get a bit of a dirt on them I'm frantically trying to wipe them, it's bad!

I just love saying oh I know I'll put on my blue suede shoes, just makes you think of Elvis.

Autumn Wishlist- New Look

Tuesday, 15 September 2015

I think I have a problem as I am seriously addicted to New Look currently. I've found a few pieces on there lately that I really want to get my hands on. So I thought I would share them with you lovely lot. Oh and I have a feeling there may be quite a few wish list posts as Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of the year.
The shoes are everything I love... black, chunky, lace up like a dream. Also being pointy I really feel they give off witchy vibes which you know I am obsessed with. They're currently on sale so I think it's inevitable that they'll be purchased soon. The suede duffle bag I am in love with. Purple is my favourite colour and this is very different to any bag I've bought in the past. A tartan scarf because it's essential to buy at least one every year :/. The purple blanket wrap I think is perfect for Autumn its not too thick but it'll be nice to throw on with any outfit. On the website there is a grunge style section which I was immediately drawn too. And from that range I loved the black long sleeved dress. It'd be easy to wear and I love the placket detailing on the front. I don't own enough skirts so I feel the black corduroy one would be a perfect addition adding a  bit of texture.

I can see the outfits emerging!

My First Pay Day Treats

Friday, 4 September 2015

So I experienced my first payday a couple of weeks ago and it was a glorious feeling. I feel like I should really be saving at the moment but I just felt like I wanted to experience treating myself with money I'd earned.
I can finally start celebrating the fact Autumn is well on it's way which means one thing, my favourite time of the year is fast approaching (Halloween, Bonfire Night and then Christmas). And of course its going to be coat weather soon, hell to the yeah. New Look are always on point lets be honest but I've found some real gems lately. So I just had to share two items I've got recently.
A camel trench coat is something I have wanted for months. I was randomly people watching whilst waiting for a train c'mon we all do it. Going off topic I saw a girl walk past wearing a trench coat and I just instantly wanted one. Camel isn't a colour I wear a lot but it's something I want to embrace more. I feel like it's a classic piece that will make me look like I've put more effort into throwing together my usual attire of a t-shirt and jeans. I will have to do an outfit post with this soon.
Black shoes, like I don't have enough in my wardrobe. I don't buy heels too often as quite frankly I don't go out anywhere... the most boring 21 year old right. But I saw these shoes on the website with vampy in the title. Now if I could pick any word to describe myself in a perfect world vampy would be it even thought that's not true. But just look how pretty they are man! Peep toe, leather look, chunky heel everything I want. I cannot wait to wear these to my graduation!

September is here, the leaves will start falling. Whilst everyone has the summer blues I'm hopefully going to start to get a little happier.

The Search for A White Shirt

Saturday, 28 February 2015

 Shirt- New Look (on Asos)
Cardigan- Miss Selfridge
Jeans- Topshop
Boots- New Look
I was literally only going to uni for the day, so this is probably quite dressy for me. I have been on the hunt for a casual looking white shirt that fits me nicely. I think I've found it. I spotted this on Asos (it's by New Look) and its perfect. All the shirts I've found are a chiffon type fabric and I wanted more of a cotton shirt. It's a shirt I feel I can just wear with jeans and then I'm done. Plus it fits nicely over my chest so it's like the ultimate dream (first world problems). It's now going to be a staple in my outfits. I found this textured cardigan/jacket in Miss Selfridge a place I never really venture too. I really liked the texture and thought it was like nothing I already own. I did say I like shirts lately.

Busy week ahead, I need to get on with my show make. Wish me luck.

A little bit angelic

Friday, 3 October 2014

Top- George at Asda
Jeans- Topshop Joni
Jacket- New Look
Shoes- Converse

I'm wearing such a simple outfit today and wanted to post it. I love wearing this top as I for someone reason feel floaty and angelic. It's from Asda and I love white shirts. It's slightly cropped so wearing it with high waisted jeans is a must for me. Don't want to show off skin after the amount of food I've eaten this week. I added my khaki jacket to add a bit of toughness I guess to this outfit. And of course my converse cause I live in them.
This week has gone so slowly in my opinion, definitely got that Friday feeling on. Not the most productive in terms of my work for uni :/. I've finally caught up On Great British Bake off, so happy with the finalists! This weekend consists of shopping, a house party meeting the first years on my course and then doing a job involving packing up costumes on Sunday.

*Sorry the photos aren't that great I'm still trying to figure out the settings on my camera and working with my room at uni. So annoying as I got the hang of it at home haha
What's everyone's plans for this weekend??

Welcome To The Jungle

Wednesday, 10 September 2014

T-shirt- Pull and Bear
Skirt- New Look
Fedora- H&M
Shoes- Converse
Rings- New Look

Yep rocking that fedora hat yet again, it's become a favourite of mine. I'm massively into hats now and it's quite brave for me to wear it :)
Trying to branch out a bit with this outfit. I am a natural wearer of a band t-shirt, I guess its cause I do love my music. However sometimes you can over wear a band t-shirt and jeans (what I'm known to live in). I saw this Guns N Roses t-shirt on the Pull and Bear website and fell in love with it. I guess it's because it wasn't the typical shirt design they are known for with their design on. I love the song' Welcome to the Jungle' and it's such a simple shirt to wear. Plus I'm really digging navy at the moment (blame my mum). I paired with this patterned skirt I bought back in the spring time. Haven't had the chance to wear it that much but it can be worn throughout the year. The colour scheme may not be very Autumnal but that won't put me off.  It has a really cool textured effect showcasing a range of blues, greens and purples. I think it  adds quite a bit of interest to this outfit! Trying to wear more dresses and skirts for every day. I go through phases where I just live in trousers. My converses are a pretty new addition, it just so happens they are the exact same colour as my t-shirt (told you I liked navy at the moment) :)

I don't know why I just really liked this outfit and wanted to share it. Although may have to change my skirt soon as my legs are a tad cold ha!

A Little Haul

Missguided- top and skirt co-ord

New Look- T-shirt

New Look- baby blue coat

So I thought I would share a few things I have bought recently. I've tried to not buy as much over the summer and think I've done pretty well! However a girl who loves clothes needs a few new additions.

I needed an outfit for a party I was invited to, it was almost like a bit of a school reunion. I decided to look on Missguided and see what they had to offer. I've been a bit funny about their clothes before as their sizing is quite small. However it turned out well. I joined the co-ord trend and decided to buy this set above. It consists of an A line skirt and boxy crop t-shirt. It's monochrome which I live in and has a floral print. They both fit really well and I got complimented a few times wearing it which was nice haha. The great thing about it is that the pieces can be worn separately which is perfect.

The t-shirt I bought on a trip to a local town near my uni. I got the keys to my house and decided to look round. I liked it as it's simple yet has a twist with the fringing details on the bottom.

I have wanted a baby blue coat for such a long time! Saw this coat on Asos as part of the New Look range and had to get it. I love the colour and the length. The quality of it isn't as good as I thought it would be but I can't let go of it. The fabric is quite a fuzzy texture so might be a tad itchy around the neck. However I think its going to be a nice addition and adds interest to my wardrobe. I love the big lapels on it and it has shaping at the back so it sits nicely on my body shape.

Thanks for reading!

Summertime Blues

Thursday, 14 August 2014

Top- New Look
Black leggings- Asos
Shoes- Primark
Necklace- Regal Rose
Hair- wild

I'm going through a phase at the moment where I dislike pretty much everything in my wardrobe. I'm looking at loads of things thinking why the hell did you buy that! I rediscovered this baby blue short sleeved jumper I bought in the spring time from New Look. It's slightly colder here and raining as I am typing this. So I felt like it was acceptable to wear a jumper even though it's suppose to be August. I love wearing my black tube pants (how they're described on the Asos website). Not gonna lie when I first got them bloody hell they were uncomfortable. The waistband has like no give in it. However I've persisted and now they are actually quite loose around the waist. Either I've lost some weight or they've stretched (I'll just tell myself the first option) haha! My necklace I bought from the clothes show live a couple of years back from the Regal and Rose stall that was there.
I think the title of this is appropriate as sadly I'm having to chuck these pair of shoes. There is somehow a massive crack through the sole making them unwearable. Can we please just have a moment to mourn the shoes....
I now want some actual Doc Marten style brogues.
Now I'm gonna go back to convincing myself to do some work even though it's not going to happen and listening to Lower than Atlantis. My personal favourite song right now is Here We Go, have a listen if you want!

Covered in Elephants

Monday, 4 August 2014

jumpsuit- New Look (in the sale)
Fedora hat- H&M
Sandals- New Look

Elephant prints appear to be my thing at the moment, I constantly wear the skirt I got from Asos that features them and now I have this amazing jumpsuit. Every time I've gone into New Look recently I've seen it but never bothered to try it on. Once I saw it was on sale in my local store I knew I had to get it. It comes with a black studded belt too but I wanted to be extra comfy. Thank god for the elasticated waist. oh and added bonus it has pockets, WIN!  Today I went for a little venture into London to a couple of museums to do research for my third year project so I needed something that was comfortable to wear. It felt like the perfect mix of comfort but still looking 'trendy' (fyi I don't believe I am trendy at all). Being obsessed with blogging and watching Youtubers I have seen many of my favourite people wearing Fedora hats. I finally took the plunge and bought one a few weeks ago from H&M and I'm not going to lie I love it. I didn't realise how much people looked if you wore a hat, I definitely caught a few people staring on the train I got. Is it really that unusual for someone to wear a hat?? My sandals are a dream! Well saying that my feet are kinda paying the price now  ( hence why I'm not wearing them in the photos) but I'm still breaking them in. Plus my feet are so weak its getting quite worrying now :/. My mum actually spotted them and I just instantly had to have them. I love a chunky pair of sandals and with the cream colour I think they tick all the right boxes for summer.

I need to get some better background for outfit photos I know but right now I have to work with what I can :)
