That Trip to Superdrug

Saturday 2 May 2015

So the other morning before dragging my tired self into uni I ventured to Superdrug. I wanted to go and pick up a liquid eyeliner after misplacing mine on a recent night out in London. But with a 3 for 2 offer across all cosmetics I couldn't really not pick up three items. I mean it'd be rude to not take advantage of that deal right...
I am a big fan of the L'Oreal liquid eyeliners but I wanted to try out a cheaper alternative as money this term is well let's just day I'm going to struggle (she says talking about new make up she's bought). So I picked up the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner in black. After hearing some of my favourite bloggers mention how good this is for the price I figure why not give it a go. I've used it a couple of times and I'm not sure about it. It's okay but it could just be that I'm getting used to the shape of the brush. It's much thinner then the last eyeliner I used so I guess we'll see. I'm not blown away by it.
Sticking with Collection I fancied looking at their range of lip products. After seeing some posts about a new lipstick range I thought I would treat myself. I wanted to grab an orange lipstick but unfortunately they didn't have the new range in my local Superdrug. They did however have some lip cream products that looked so intriguing. I picked up a Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream in the shade Fairy Cake 3. First of all this product smells bloody amazing, the only way I can describe the smell is like a dessert. And dessert is my favourite part of any meal so the sweet scent is right up my street. I can imagine this product is identical to the NYX Butter glosses but at a slightly lower price. The shade I picked is a beautiful coral toned pink that is perfect to wear at any time. It just glides onto my lips, produces a gorgeous colour and is so easy to build as the coverage is light. I think this is my favourite product out of the three I bought, I'm so buying more shades.
The final product I picked up was the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof. I've been using an old Avon pencil eyeliner and have been meaning to pick a new one up for a long time. I love the intensity of the colour and it adds a lot of depth to my eyes. If I want a black eyeliner I want it to be proper black and this does the job perfectly.

So its a bank holiday which means a three day weekend party!! Or writing essays if your like me yay... Although my plan tomorrow is to take photo's for a rather exciting post coming up :) Have a good one!
